Give yourself a "jump-start" by learning the basics of the yoga system in this comprehensive and fun class.  We will begin at the beginning and add on each week...learning correct methods of breathing, how to move in and out of postures, how to pace yourself and respect your abilities and limitations.  We  will cover many of the basic postures found in our regular class schedule and address modifications for all.  Course led by Shari Simon.
 
*Please note:  there are no "make-up" classes if you miss, nor will you be able to attend a Yoga Basics class on a different day for that reason.

In our modern world where stress takes it’s toll on us daily, we can learn to use the technique of meditation to bring us to a place of inner peace and calm.
Meditation can help us reduce stress, reduce blood pressure, and gain mental and emotional focus. This class will use breath, sound, and visual support structures as a focus. Students will be guided through various exercises to help them reign in the chatter of the conscious. Sessions led by Robert Thompson.
Pups Yoga!

$70 for 6 wks. / $15 drop-in
Let your pre-schooler explore their self-expression. Classes will include breath work and yoga postures where children will become more aware of their bodies through yoga play. Your child will have fun playing yoga “games” which allow them to let off steam and have fun before becoming quiet. Stillness games are incorporated to teach your child how to relax, and help your child learn that being still can be fun. Class taught by Dawn Greenly. We will take the last 15 min. of each class to hold “story time” with parents & their “pups”!

Women of every fitness level and trimester are welcome to practice yoga postures that are safe and enjoyable for mother and baby. Each class will focus on preparing the body for childbirth by stretching and strengthening the lower back, abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, and opening the hips and sacrum. We will also focus on deepening your bond with your baby through breath, visualization, and deep relaxation. Taught by Jessica Pollner.
